Cake Smash
Prep Guide
First birthday sessions are a lot of fun, but also a lot of work. It is hard to predict how baby would behave during the session, but here are some suggestions and tips how to help you and your little one prepare for the session.
#1
Try not to stress about it, as your feeling of worry can transfer to your little one, and we want baby to be happiest. I know baby's chedule changes a lot ( especially in the first year) so if the nap happens a bit earlier or later, it is ok, just keep me in a loop on the day of the session.
#2
make sure your baby has his/her lunch (or try to keep the regular feeding schedule) but allow extra time before the session as we want baby to be interested in trying the cake.
#3
which brings me to this. It is trylly 50/50 if your little one willbe interested in trying the cake. some kiddos are a bit more sensitive to a texture, dirty hands and just unfamiliar foods. To help them in any way we can to reduce the stress during the session, i suggest giving baby some mashed potatoes to play with, it is similar in a texture and can be a huge help. but keep an open mind.
