First Birthday Celebration

I was looking forward to meeting Max. Couple years ago i've meet his big brother for his first birthday and let me tell you, boy, he did not disappoint. Although maintaining a very serious face, he did fully destroy his cake into nothing, a truly cake smasher. S0 the plank for his little bro was high for the session. ans boy oh boy, what a smash it was just look for yourself.

session took place in my studio, located in Huntington Valley, PA.

We started the session with simplistic baby portraits. it helps babies get a bit more comfortable with a flash, studio and a stranger photographer, aka me. Max did a great job with variety of expressions, and he showed off his standing skills.

After portraits, an outfit change, and off to the set we go. Again before we introduce the cake, couple portraits are done, just in cake baby is not the fan of the cake.It is always a 50/50 they either love it or hate it.

Max lived up to my expectations. Cake was everywhere, and what a happy kid! he was supper excited for the cake, but like many, once done was trying to escape. Session was a success and galley is just so adorable. a milestone worth documenting.
